Gold
The philosophy of Foster has always been to pursue the maximum result without compromise.
That's why Foster invested in the search for PVD (physical vapor deposition) , a treatment that allows to physically color matter.
The Finish Foster PVD Gold present on our sinks and stovetops in stainless steel AISI 304 is a special surface treatment that gives the original color sink and shine as well as very high physical and mechanical characteristics such as:
Increased corrosion resistance
Increased surface hardness, therefore greater scratch resistance
Reduced surface friction coefficient: a better flow of water
High temperature resistance.
What differentiates PVD Foster Gold
The difference makes it the combination between the quality of the basic raw material, the AISI 304 steel and the choice of precious metals that after having undergone the sublimation process they merge physically with the surface layer of the steel (Physical Vapor Deposition) creating a protective crust with a golden, metallic or copper color depending on the metallic powders used.
Colours Foster PVD Gun Metal, Gold and Copper are distinguished by the unique nuances of their kind.
Foster chose to apply PVD treatment on the finishes of AISI 304 Satinated and Vintage steel. Products surfaces Foster are all treated with special brushes made entirely of vegetable fiber that smooth the matter without scaling it in depth. This aspect is essential in order to obtain surfaces that are extremely bright and that guarantee greater hygiene.

Foster PVD stainless steel embellishes its aesthetics and strengthens its surface.
Colours Foster Gun Metal, Gold, Copper, Brandy and Sunset provide your kitchen with a unique and distinctive personality.

- What is PVD Foster
- Foster PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) is a nanotechnology that allows us to give color to stainless steel through a process Physics, allowing us to merge with stainless steel precious metals that can give steel unique and resistant colors. PVD Foster It is NOT a painting neither involves the use of chemicals; is carried out following a special procedure that our R&D department has developed from 2010.Come you get the PVD FosterTo get a quality treatment you need to follow a rigid and meticulous process that allows you to get a Technical PVD therefore able to withstand high temperatures and wear. The method Foster provides special attention during the implementation process:Materials and finishes impeccableIt is essential to start from an accurate selection of stainless steel and meticulous attention to the finishes of the product; this care in detail has always been present in DNA Foster Uncontaminated productWe pay particular attention to the process of cleaning products that will receive PVD treatment; the presence of impurities on the surfaces would not allow the treatment to reach the high quality standards Foster. Accurate metal selection The PVD Foster is the result of continuous studies and a long process of research and development that has led us to select specific mix of precious metals that give our products unique and considerably more resistant coloration than a normal stainless steel.Working in vacuum chamber We exploit technologies by using special vacuum chambers where powders of noble metals are sublimated (pass from solid to gasous state) , metal vapour is subsequently enriched with special process gases that allow ions to be drawn to the stainless steel substrate. The color is therefore the result of the combination of metals and process gases. Why aren't all PVDs the same?Foster uses its own method of realization of PVD finishes. Our treatment, unlike the foreign PVDs commonly present on the market, stands out for high technical characteristics surface hardness, scratch resistance, abrasion, heat, atmospheric agents .The quality of PVD on products Foster is unique and recognized by the market as a synonym for reliability and guaranteed by an incredible duration over time.
